Kayaking around Sobieszewo Island

There are many ways of getting to Sobieszewo Island: you can choose public transportation, bike, car, yacht and last but not least, a kayak. Feel free to enjoy active leisure and see Gdańsk from a new perspective.

The route from the center of Gdańsk to Sobieszewo Island is around 15 -18 kilometers long, so if it is your first time kayaking, you should consider a training or trying a shorter distance beforehand. Sobieszewo Island, the easternmost part of Gdańsk, is separated from the land by two distributary channels of Vistula river: Martwa Vistula and Śmiała Vistula and Przekop Wisły from the east.

It is a great idea to visit the Island for a few days to enjoy its nature, clean beaches and gorgeous pine woods.

Gdańsk – Sobieszewo Island kayaking route:

• Starting point: ex. Marina on Kamienna Grobla 2
• Cross the center of Gdańsk
• Enter Martwa Vistula
• Get to Śmiała Vistula
• Arrive on the beach through Śmiała Vistula (depending on the weather conditions)
